"Ready To Rent" Loan & Education
Ready to Rent is a free comprehensive curriculum used to assist families or individuals who have rental barriers such as a lack of or poor rental history, property upkeep, renter responsibilities, landlord/tenant communication and credit issues. Training topics include: tenant rights, financial prep, solving issues, settling in, and more. This class is designed to provide the necessary skills and education to set attendees up for future success as a renter. This class is a requirement to obtain NeighborWorks rental loan (see details below).
This free class is a nine hour time commitment, held at the NeighborWorks Great Falls office - 509 1st Ave South. Please sign up for the next class by clicking "Register". You will receive a confirmation email once completed. All necessary materials will be provided. Children are not suitable for this classroom environment.
February 26th - 28th | 5pm to 8pm
Only after completing the "Ready to Rent" course clients are able to apply for the rental loan to cover first/last months' rent or security deposits. The loan will be up to $1,000.00 at a 5% interest rate with the maximum loan term being 36 months. Example: $1,000.00 loan 36 months is a $29.97 monthly payment. There is no penalty to pay off early.
There are no income guidelines for this loan, any family or individual may apply. The rental property must be in the city of Great Falls or Cascade County. A pulled credit report is required. Applicants debt ratio must be less than 45%. *Loan funds are limited.
- Most recent two months of paystubs for anyone over 18 living in the property
- Documentation of all income i.e: child support, SSI, alimony, pension
- Budget of monthly expenses
- Rental agreement
