From Cascade County Watch to resident-led crime and safety projects, NeighborWorks Great Falls implements and supports a variety of crime and safety efforts. To create strong neighborhoods is to ensure we are all living in a safe community.
Neighborhood Watch
Through the dedicated commitment of the City of Great Falls Neighborhood Councils, the Great Falls Police Department, the Cascade County Sheriff’s office, the Black Eagle Civic Club, and the Downtown Safety Coalition, we have made a significant impact on reducing neighborhood through the Neighborhood Watch. Downtown Development Partnership
NeighborWorks Great Falls is proud to be on the board of directors and have a presence at the Downtown Development Partnership (DDP) meetings. This group meets monthly at NeighborWorks with the mission of bringing together our community and revitalizing downtown. The DDP focuses on the following efforts:
- Promote, stimulate, and effect community and economic development
- Forge alliances that recruit new businesses and development
- Provide access to financing to support development
- Support the implementation of the City’s Downtown Master Plan
- Cooperate with other organizations to support Downtown development in Great Falls and throughout the State of Montana
Downtown Safety Alliance
The Safety Alliance is a subcommittee of the DDP, also held monthly at NeighborWorks. This committee was created to address downtown safety and public safety concerns. Topics include community engagement, how to support local police efforts, addressing transient and loitering issues, and implementing projects like “Coins for a Cause” to support those in need while deterring unwanted behaviors. This group is comprised of the Great Falls Business Improvement District, NeighborWorks Great Falls, the Great Falls MT Police Department, the Downtown Great Falls Association, Neighborhood Councils, and the DDP.
