The first week of June marks a very exciting time for NeighborWorks Great Falls. Each year, NeighborWorks America hosts NeighborWorks Week, a time used to celebrate the partnerships between businesses, community members, organizations, and those who embody our mission. Creating strong neighborhoods with quality, affordable housing takes the support of a community, and we are very thankful for the residents in Cascade County!
NeighborWorks Week kicked off with a round of trolley tours. These tours were open to community members and preferred partners. In total, roughly 30 people were able to see first-hand some of the impact NeighborWorks Great Falls (NWGF) has had since 1980. Executive Director Sherrie Arey narrated the history of past NWGF houses ranging from Owner Built to High School Houses to project homes. Besides learning about the past, participants were also able to get a glimpse of some current projects and learn about the future goals of NWGF as well.
To wrap up the week, NWGF hosted the annual Most Improved Awards at Elevation 3330. These awards recognized the individuals, businesses, and organizations that showed their commitment to improving properties in Great Falls and Black Eagle. A few of NWGF partners were celebrated as well for their outstanding job helping make homeownership possible for community members. The awards and recipients are:
Nonprofit Partner of the Year: Black Eagle Civic Club
Partner of the Year: Roger Bridgeford
Long Term Partner of the Year: Malmstrom Air Force Base & the Dirt Boyz
Lender of the Year: Mike Banks
Realtor of the Year: Genelle Hocevar

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make NeighborWorks week 2022 a success. Be sure to mark your calendars for 2023!
