Over 32 Tons of Garbage Cleaned During Annual MApril Clean Up

Each spring for the last 35 years, NeighborWorks Great Falls has partnered with Malmstrom airmen and hundreds of volunteers to clean up our community! Over the last two Saturdays MApril Clean Up volunteers picked up 32.72 tons of garbage and debris.


771 volunteers including squadrons from Malmstrom fanned the City, Black Eagle and the surrounding areas for the last two Saturdays from 8am- noon to clean parks, alleys, and roadways. Other groups that participated in the community wide clean up include:

  • Two elementary Schools

  • Lewis and Clark Groups

  • 50 Heavy Equipment Ops Groups from Malmstrom

  • 21 Malmstrom Squadrons

  • Neighborhood Councils 5, 6 and 7

  • The Cities of Manchester and Black Eagle

  • Trailer Terrace Community and NeighborWorks Montana

  • Boy Scouts

  • NeighborWorks Great Falls staff and board

This year marks 35 years of residents coming together through MApril to make Great Falls a cleaner, better place to live. NeighborWorks Great Falls would like to thank all of their supporters., who make events like this possible. Also a huge thanks to Malmstrom AirForce Base for their partnership and the hundreds of other community volunteers that participated.
